Kiwi producers Hyan and Emilie teamed up with vocalist Young Gho$t on new tune ‘Locked In’. What better way to gain some hype behind the track than to throw a free gig and shoot a music vid at a local club?
This Easter weekend on Saturday the 19th of April from 9pm, Il Bruto will open its doors free of charge to local punters who are keen to feature in the ‘Locked In’ music video.
“This weekend we’ll be taking it over with full NZG (New Zealand Garage) energy,”
Hyan let us know.
The show will be packed with DJ sets from all three artists as well as Young Gho$t jumping on the mic.
I absolutely love the Aotearoa electronic scene so I wanted to shoot a video that features all the familiar faces you’d catch at shows and festivals across Tamaki,
Hyan told us.
I want people to come as themselves to organically spotlight the culture,
he added.
I’m extremely proud of the increasingly diverse and happening scene we have in Aotearoa.
I want people watching this video from overseas so go ‘f*ck yeah! I wanna party in NZ, these people look FUN!’.
While Il Bruto only has capacity for 100ish party people, it definitely packs a punch with the high calibre of talent that rolls through on the regular. So make sure you get in early to secure your spot on the dance floor.
While the Speed Garage single drops on May 23rd, Hyan's debut EP titled ‘We Mustn’t’ comes out early June and is one not to miss!
